"Ya'll got galletas?" - 2/19/2018

Hello my beautiful friends and family!!!

This week was great! The area is doing so super well. We have so many people that we are working with right now! This week so many people sent us referrals to people who need our help! We are very excited to get to work.

Tomorrow I start training a new missionary! I am so excited to met her!

This week Michael was able to come to church finally! It was really good to see him there. He is struggling a lot with many things right now and he want to be part of the church but there are so many obstacles. Pray for him!

Chris is doing good. He wasnt able to come to church but he is reading a lot of the Book of Mormon and loves to come to institute. He learns super well and very easily!
We also found Crystal this week. She is an awesome young mom with three adorable kids. We taught her the restoration and gave her a Book of Mormon and she loves it! She has a bright future. We are very excited to work with her. Addressing the title of the email: One of the members here that helps us out a lot is super funny. His name is Brother Burke and he served his mission in Chile. therefore, he speaks Spanish! So, sometimes we speak Spanish with him. We were telling him in Spanish how we were going to give some cookies (galletas in spanish) to another member who is struggling and he stopped and just said, "Ya'll got galletas?" so intently. It was hilarious. It was like he wanted whatever cookie we had. we had a good laugh.

Rewards 😁 - 10/22/2018

Hello my beautiful friends and family! First and foremost, I am profusely sorry that I did not write an email to all of you last week. And unfortunately this week it's going to be short again. We went paint-balling today and it was so much fun! We hit our goals last month and so we got to go paintball together as a reward. It was a blast. Pictures inserted. You also all might be glad to know that DARLENE CAME TO CHURCH! We had pretty much given up on her but then she came to church and she loved it! It was an awesome Sunday and we're so happy for her. She got a lot out of it. Other than that it was a pretty normal week. It's mine and Sister Chavez's and last week together and were going to make the very best of it. I love you all and I hope you have a fantastic week. Always remember how much you are deeply loved by your Heavenly Father. No matter what you do, He's there for you. This plaque is hanging in the Wyoming Ward church building in Wyoming, Michigan. It has Lara's favorite scripture and the location and dates of her mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The Wyoming Ward also gave one to her family.

Food for Darlene - 10/1/2018

Hello my beautiful friends and family! This week was a great week! One of our investigators named Vida came to church yesterday! She hadn't been progressing a whole lot and so we really didn't think she would come but she did. She liked it but she said it was a bit long haha.  In other news Sister Chavez was sick this week with a cold and allergies. So, we stayed in for one and a half days to let her recoup. I was super bored and I was so happy that she was getting better until I woke up yesterday morning with a minor sore throat and today I woke up with it worse! I'm getting what she had. It's just a bad cold but I'd rather not get it at all. There were two baptisms in our Branch this week. Adolfo and Daisy.
