Tech it up! - 3/12/2018
Hello my beautiful friends and family! I hope this email finds you all well.
The weather here in Corpus Christi has been magnificent. It's been in the low 80s all week! So wonderful.
So, a few days ago we were super duper busy but we had a little bit of time to do some door knocking and so we knocked one single door. Guess what? We got a return appointment from that door and he wants to learn more about the Book of Mormon. Inspired, right? It was pretty cool. Plus he has a super adorable daughter.
We had Zone Conference on Friday which was spectacular. Zone conference is when all the missionaries in the area get together and our Mission President talks to us. It was really long but I learned so much. Our mission president is a man of God. Without a doubt. He knows how to make you feel the spirit. At one part he was talking about how the number of baptisms that you get doesn't tell you how successful you have been. He looked me straight in the eye in front of everyone (I was in the front row) and said, "Sister Richardson, how long have you been in corpus?" and I was like, "Almost 6 months" and then he was like, "it is not easy here, is it?' and I was like, "no, not really." and then he said "What would you say if I told you your purpose here was Nadia and Priscilla?" and then I started crying and said, "It would all be worth it." Nadia and Priscilla are both people that I was able to be part of their conversion process and I love them both so much. It truly is all worth it.
Some exciting things for Technology! We are using technology a whole bunch recently. We are finding people to teach and to help through Facebook! It's the craziest and coolest thing!
Our testimonies of God and Jesus Christ are personal but they are not meant to be kept secret. Share what you know to be true and what you have been taught by the spirit! Don't be afraid! If someone judges you for what you believe in (especially if it's Jesus Christ), you don't need them in your life. He is real! He loves us. Share that!
Love you all~
