Milagros (Miracles) - 12/18/2017
Hello my beautiful friends and family!!
Things are going wonderfully in good ol' Corpus Christi, Texas. We are staying busy for SURE. We saw so many little miracles this week it was such a blessing.
First of all, The Garcia kids were all able to come to church yesterday! It was so fun! They have such strong desires to be close to God and to learn about Him. It is such a privilege to be part of this process with them. They are in pretty humble circumstances and so they didn't have any clothes to wear to church. So Sister Koehler and I called some people and a few members went over and dropped off over 5 bags of clothes for those amazing kids. We felt more blessed than they did to have such an awesome ward! It was even more of a miracle because one of the ladies we called was literally going through all of her kids' clothes to donate them right as we called her. It was so awesome!
Jay and Jackie and their 3 kids were able to come to church yesterday too! They loved it and this past week we even found them a free Christmas tree and helped them put it up. They have had some financial troubles as well and so they had zero Christmas decorations. Now they have a 7ft tree with lights and stockings. :) BLESSINGS.
Church yesterday was amazing because we were sitting in the big middle pew and on either side of us was a beautiful family we had brought. We legitimately doubled the primary size. 10 new kids. TEN!!! The Lord is blessing this ward so much.
We are very excited for Christmas here. It is in ONE week! FELIZ NAVIDAD everyone! It doesn't feel like it though because it is only in the 60s or so every day. We've been getting a lot of rain too. :)
We also got a flat tire this morning and had to change it in the rain on the way to the library to email you all. It was an adventure!
I love getting all kinds of emails and letters from you all. It brightens my day! If you would like to write me a letter you can send it to:
