TACOOOOOOSSSS - 7/30/2018


Hello my beautiful friends and family!

This week was kind of crazy in all the best ways. We were super busy! We have exchanges with our Sister Training Leaders. I went to SharyLand (just 10 miles south) and my companion stayed in Alton. We also have interviews with our Mission President! It was GREAT. That man is so inspired of God. I'm so grateful that President Torres is my mission president.
We also have been finding a lot of success with people wanting to learn about the gospel. We've been receiving some golden referrals and working with the ward to find those who are lost. Its the most rewarding feeling. We're now teaching a girl who used to be Buddhist but she definitely has a testimony of prayer and of God. It's such a unique experience.
Javier made us a pie, we got DELICIOUS tacos, blue slurppies, and beautiful flowers all around! However, it's so dang hot outside. Above 100°F every single day. The hottest day this week was about 108 and I melted! Whenever people find out I'm from Michigan they feel so bad for me hahaha! I feels bad for me too. It's really not that bad though because we are usually inside at the hottest times of the day. Blessings!

Hello my beautiful friends and family! First and foremost, I am profusely sorry that I did not write an email to all of you last week. And unfortunately this week it's going to be short again. We went paint-balling today and it was so much fun! We hit our goals last month and so we got to go paintball together as a reward. It was a blast. Pictures inserted. You also all might be glad to know that DARLENE CAME TO CHURCH! We had pretty much given up on her but then she came to church and she loved it! It was an awesome Sunday and we're so happy for her. She got a lot out of it. Other than that it was a pretty normal week. It's mine and Sister Chavez's and last week together and were going to make the very best of it. I love you all and I hope you have a fantastic week. Always remember how much you are deeply loved by your Heavenly Father. No matter what you do, He's there for you. Food for Darlene - 10/1/2018

Hello my beautiful friends and family! This week was a great week! One of our investigators named Vida came to church yesterday! She hadn't been progressing a whole lot and so we really didn't think she would come but she did. She liked it but she said it was a bit long haha.  In other news Sister Chavez was sick this week with a cold and allergies. So, we stayed in for one and a half days to let her recoup. I was super bored and I was so happy that she was getting better until I woke up yesterday morning with a minor sore throat and today I woke up with it worse! I'm getting what she had. It's just a bad cold but I'd rather not get it at all. There were two baptisms in our Branch this week. Adolfo and Daisy.
