9 month mark! - 6/11/2018

Hello my beautiful friends and family! Another powerful yet short email coming your way!
I honestly cannot believe another week has passed. Time seems to be flying by! Its getting hotter and hotter down here every day. This week our mission president and our stake president introduced a new Family History approach to missionary work. We are to help 10 people per companionship to find and print (or send) one name for the temple! It has been so awesome! We love helping people discover their roots and see the joy they have when they offer their ancestors the joy of the gospel that they already have. 
Besides the normal missionary stuff, we've been meeting and teaching lots of awesome people recently! As a result of us following the counsel of our leaders, the Lord is blessing us in abundance! 
On Wednesday I hit my 9 month mark and so my lovely companion gave me some delicious lemon oreo thins! Woohoo! Life is good.

Don't forget who you are and where you came from. No, not your parents or your earthly lineage, but your divine and eternal parentage. He loves you! Always.

Hello my beautiful friends and family! First and foremost, I am profusely sorry that I did not write an email to all of you last week. And unfortunately this week it's going to be short again. We went paint-balling today and it was so much fun! We hit our goals last month and so we got to go paintball together as a reward. It was a blast. Pictures inserted. You also all might be glad to know that DARLENE CAME TO CHURCH! We had pretty much given up on her but then she came to church and she loved it! It was an awesome Sunday and we're so happy for her. She got a lot out of it. Other than that it was a pretty normal week. It's mine and Sister Chavez's and last week together and were going to make the very best of it. I love you all and I hope you have a fantastic week. Always remember how much you are deeply loved by your Heavenly Father. No matter what you do, He's there for you. This plaque is hanging in the Wyoming Ward church building in Wyoming, Michigan. It has Lara's favorite scripture and the location and dates of her mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The Wyoming Ward also gave one to her family.

Food for Darlene - 10/1/2018

Hello my beautiful friends and family! This week was a great week! One of our investigators named Vida came to church yesterday! She hadn't been progressing a whole lot and so we really didn't think she would come but she did. She liked it but she said it was a bit long haha.  In other news Sister Chavez was sick this week with a cold and allergies. So, we stayed in for one and a half days to let her recoup. I was super bored and I was so happy that she was getting better until I woke up yesterday morning with a minor sore throat and today I woke up with it worse! I'm getting what she had. It's just a bad cold but I'd rather not get it at all. There were two baptisms in our Branch this week. Adolfo and Daisy.
