I am officially old (20 years young) - 7/23/2018

Hello my beautiful friends and family! 


This week was great! My birthday was this past Friday and some amazing people made it a really great day. The other sister missionaries who live really close to us made me feel super special. We cracked open the pinata (literally) that mi madre sent me and it was a blast (also literally). We also ate cake and just had a good time for little bit we had to celebrate. But, also the family who signed up to feed us that day found out it was my birthday. So, they took us out to eat at an awesome restaurant! Super yummy

We aren't teaching a whole lot of people right now which is sad but it's also really good because we have a lot of time to find new amazing people to teach and bring the gospel to. 

My stake also had an awesome Pioneer day party! It was SO COOL. The missionaries were heavily involved and it was all about pioneers and family history plus there was elote (mexican corn), raspas (mexican snow cones), and a taco truck. Basically the best. 

I love you all! In general I am doing super good and just loving life!!!

Hello my beautiful friends and family! First and foremost, I am profusely sorry that I did not write an email to all of you last week. And unfortunately this week it's going to be short again. We went paint-balling today and it was so much fun! We hit our goals last month and so we got to go paintball together as a reward. It was a blast. Pictures inserted. You also all might be glad to know that DARLENE CAME TO CHURCH! We had pretty much given up on her but then she came to church and she loved it! It was an awesome Sunday and we're so happy for her. She got a lot out of it. Other than that it was a pretty normal week. It's mine and Sister Chavez's and last week together and were going to make the very best of it. I love you all and I hope you have a fantastic week. Always remember how much you are deeply loved by your Heavenly Father. No matter what you do, He's there for you. This plaque is hanging in the Wyoming Ward church building in Wyoming, Michigan. It has Lara's favorite scripture and the location and dates of her mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The Wyoming Ward also gave one to her family.

Food for Darlene - 10/1/2018

Hello my beautiful friends and family! This week was a great week! One of our investigators named Vida came to church yesterday! She hadn't been progressing a whole lot and so we really didn't think she would come but she did. She liked it but she said it was a bit long haha.  In other news Sister Chavez was sick this week with a cold and allergies. So, we stayed in for one and a half days to let her recoup. I was super bored and I was so happy that she was getting better until I woke up yesterday morning with a minor sore throat and today I woke up with it worse! I'm getting what she had. It's just a bad cold but I'd rather not get it at all. There were two baptisms in our Branch this week. Adolfo and Daisy.
