Life is for Change - 1/22/2018
Hello my beautiful friends and family!!!
--
This week was also awesome too. All of our investigators are still progressing! That means that they are slowly changing their lives for the better and gaining a testimony of the restored gospel. We have another baptism this week! Miles is finally getting baptized! His family is very excited for him and so are we. He's a super funny and smart kid.
We also had Zone Conference this week. That is where our Mission President comes and talks to all of us up here in Corpus Christi. It was really inspiring. We talked a lot about overcoming the Natural Man and how the point of this life is to learn to overcome the flesh (meaning ungodly desires and actions) in an effort to become more like God. It was really cool.
Last night Sister Koehler and I didn't really know what to do before an appointment we had and we were just walking around this apartment complex but we didn't see anyone to talk to. Then we decided to stop and pray to know how we should spend our time right now. Then we both saw this guy sitting on the bed of his truck just a little bit away. We decided to go talk to him. His name was Emilio and we talked with him about prayer. We taught him how to pray and then we said a prayer with him. It was really cool. After the prayer he told us that he knew we needed to come talk to him tonight and that the words I said in that prayer really helped him. It was a super awesome experience. Then he texted us a little while later and asked if we could meet him to teach him more! It was super cool! We see little miracles like this all the time!
The Garcia kids who got baptized are still doing really well. This week Frankie (The oldest one) has been having knee problems and the doctors didn't know what was going on. We suggested a priesthood blessing. He got one from two of his Young Men leaders and afterwards he said that he felt really confident that his knees would get better. :) It was super cool because we could feel the spirit really strong.
Anyway, The pictures are of me with a bunny named Blanco, the corpus christi bay, and me with a rubber chicken that we brought around with us for a day.
Life is awesome and mission life is super spectacular.
