MY BEAUTIFUL FRIENDS AND FAMILY!!!

This week was an awesome week! A bunch happened and I will try to tell it all so you know what's going in my life but you aren't bored while you're reading.

Okay, so on Monday of last week we met this amazing family of 9. They are changing my life! It's a grandma and grandpa with 7 grandchildren. The kids' mom abandoned them and their dad works pretty much all day every day. We are teaching the kids and the grandma sits in and listens. The grandparents are very religious (catholic) but they welcome anyone who gets along with the kids and talks about God. I love those kids so dang much! There's Frankie (14), Johnathan (13), Nadia (11), Crystal (8), Nathaniel (like 6), Tony (5ish), and Alex (4ish). They are such a blessing. We sang them a song with the ukulele (I am a Child of God) the first time we met them and then when we came back we taught them the restoration! We have another appointment tomorrow to teach Plan of Salvation!!! They are definitely the highlight of our week. I pray that we will be able to help them!

We also started really teaching an old woman named Irma. She is PRECIOUS. She is the mother of a member in our ward who passed away a few weeks ago. She never became a member when he did and now she is learning! She knows that it is all true! We just have to get her to act on it. She is many in her late 60s or early 70s and we got to meet HER mom... whose like 90... she is a little fire cracker! It's hilarious! She's this tiny old Hispanic woman with a riding lawnmower and a skip in her step! I love it haha.

A recent convert got to bless the sacrament for the first time this week! He was baptized before Either Hna Koehler or I came in and we have been meeting with him every week. he got his temple recommend yesterday too! His name is Ian and he plays professional soccer for the Corpus Christi Team.

I love our ward so much! I wish I could talk about all the families who we see regularly and who bless our lives. There's so many! Just know that we are well taken care of my the families here. :)

We were also able to get in contact with an investigator we had who disappeared! Priscilla! She's awesome. We hopefully will be able to help her get back to where she was again. She's hilarious and we love her too. She is like 21 and has this tiny little dog that LOVE us. It's great haha

I got to finally eat some authentic Tamales! I pretty much died because they were so dang good. This little old lady from Panama made them for us. :) She's hysterical. She always goes on some rant about men or white people. It's great haha :)

The Ward is doing really well! On saturday we wrote a bunch of thank you notes to a bunch of people in the ward and delivered them all. It was so fun! They were all really appreciative and I am so glad that we are not getting transferred because this ward needs some stability! So, I was sick again yesterday... haha I woke up with really weird stomach feelings and I made it through half of church before we had to go home. I couldn't move and I had to throw up a couple times. It was horrible. I am doing better now but it was not fun. But, I know that it happened as a trial of faith. I got a blessing and in it, god told me that as my faith increased, my body would heal and that I needed to basically get more faith in order to see more success as a missionary. Well dang. I thought I had faith.... I don't know. It was kind of a slap in the face from the spirit. I am going to focus a lot on faith now. but, just the fact that I am doing a whole lot better than yesterday is a good sign. Tips? Pray for me please. I am not really sure how to get more faith...
anyway, I am doing well though. I am trying to send some stuff back in a package (stuff I won't use) but I am concerned about the price of shipping and I don't know if it is worth it haha.

Want to send me a christmas sweater or give me some money to get one at a thrift store or something? All the missionaries wear Christmas sweaters to the Christmas Conference in McAllen this month. :)
