Gram, Lara's paternal Grandma, gave her the gift of testing her DNA for Christmas. This is what Lara said when she heard: OH MY GOSH !!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!

Also this week, Lara's college roommate, Madeline (Maddy) Morse married their mutual friend, Christopher Turner. This is what Lara had to say about that:  "OH MY GOSH THEY LOOK FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!! I AM SO EXCITED FOR THEM!!!!!!!" also,"I AM SO EXCITED FOR MADDY! I had a little freak out in this library hahahha"

Hello my beautiful friends and family!!!

I hope you all had an awesome thanksgiving! I know I did. We ate at the Wilson's. They are an older couple in the ward who take really good care of us. We had some DANG good food (including a turducken).

This week was a good week! Nothing super crazy or out of the ordinary happened, but it was just a good week. :)

I am officially not getting transferred! Sister Koehler and I are very excited to stay together in Corpus Christi for another little while. I love the people here and I will be so very sad when the day comes that I have to leave. But that day is not today! Yay!

I'm sorry that I don't have any good pictures this week haha.

So apparently, nobody got my email from last week. So, last week we saw Selena's grave! She is pretty much holy in this town. There's like a huge memorial to her down by the beach. For those who don't know, she was a singer from here who died super young and it was apparently dramatic.

This week I also killed a HUGE nasty cockroach. It was DISGUSTING and it was probably the size of two quarters put together. Gotta love Texas roaches!

Oh! And we went to the first Wataburger location ever. It's right by the beach and it has two levels! Wataburger is also something very very important to Texans. It's a burger chain here and it started in Corpus!

Anyway. I hope you are all doing well!
