Because it's real! - 1/29/2017
Hello my beautiful friends and family! I hope you are all doing well and that this email finds you in good health and high spirits!
This week was another great week. Miles got baptized on Saturday! Once again the ward really came together and it was a lovely service. The spirit was so strong and his mom, Jackie, was crying. He is the coolest 9 year old I know! He and his family has been such a blessing to us!
Other than that, nothing too crazy happened this week. Priscilla, Michael, and Chris are all progressing still. Priscilla is getting more and more excited to be baptized every day. She has drive. It's really cool. She's one of our best friends for sure. Especially once she's baptized, she's gonna go everywhere with us haha. With Chris, we started his family tree on FamilySearch.org yesterday! he loves it! We already linked him back to the 1100s on one line. Crazy stuff! He's super smart and so finding his family is like a game to him! Michael has been struggling little bit but he has quite smoking! It wa sa problem for him but he totally left it behind! How cool is that?
In other news, my mission is getting smart phones! Before Feb 5th we will all have a smartphone. I am pumped for it. We will be able to do so much with it! Videos, facebook, videochatting, and MORE. I still will only be able to email on mondays, of course but for missionary work, this means a lot! Woohoo!
This week I was studying prayer a lot. The Bible Dictionary has a wonderful section about prayer. It says:
"As soon as we learn the true relationship in which we stand toward God (namely, God is our Father, and we are His children), then at once prayer becomes natural and instinctive on our part (Matt. 7:7–11). Many of the so-called difficulties about prayer arise from forgetting this relationship. Prayer is the act by which the will of the Father and the will of the child are brought into correspondence with each other. The object of prayer is not to change the will of God but to secure for ourselves and for others blessings that God is already willing to grant but that are made conditional on our asking for them. Blessings require some work or effort on our part before we can obtain them. Prayer is a form of work and is an appointed means for obtaining the highest of all blessings."
Anyway, I'm still up here in Corpus Christi doing all I can to further the work :) If you want to send me any mail I'm at:

I love you all and I hope that you can feel the love of the Savior. Because it's real!
