8/30/2017 Pre-Week email


​Hello my dear friends and family,

All of you have either requested to be on my weekly update list or I have placed you there because I want you to get my emails. ;)

It is exactly one week until I leave for my mission! As I am preparing and making sure everything is set for my departure, I am sending this email. If you would like to opt out of my weekly updates or if you know anyone who would like to be on this mailing list and isn't, please contact me as soon as possible.

Starting Tuesday night I will be unable to use my phone and I will only be able to communicate via this email address on Mondays. 

I will first be flying to Provo, Utah where I will be in the Missionary Training Center (MTC) for about 6 weeks. While I am there I will be learning Spanish as well as how to be an effective teacher. If you would like to send me letters or packages or anything like that while I am there, my mailing address will be:

Hello my beautiful friends and family! First and foremost, I am profusely sorry that I did not write an email to all of you last week. And unfortunately this week it's going to be short again. We went paint-balling today and it was so much fun! We hit our goals last month and so we got to go paintball together as a reward. It was a blast. Pictures inserted. You also all might be glad to know that DARLENE CAME TO CHURCH! We had pretty much given up on her but then she came to church and she loved it! It was an awesome Sunday and we're so happy for her. She got a lot out of it. Other than that it was a pretty normal week. It's mine and Sister Chavez's and last week together and were going to make the very best of it. I love you all and I hope you have a fantastic week. Always remember how much you are deeply loved by your Heavenly Father. No matter what you do, He's there for you. This plaque is hanging in the Wyoming Ward church building in Wyoming, Michigan. It has Lara's favorite scripture and the location and dates of her mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The Wyoming Ward also gave one to her family.

Food for Darlene - 10/1/2018

Hello my beautiful friends and family! This week was a great week! One of our investigators named Vida came to church yesterday! She hadn't been progressing a whole lot and so we really didn't think she would come but she did. She liked it but she said it was a bit long haha.  In other news Sister Chavez was sick this week with a cold and allergies. So, we stayed in for one and a half days to let her recoup. I was super bored and I was so happy that she was getting better until I woke up yesterday morning with a minor sore throat and today I woke up with it worse! I'm getting what she had. It's just a bad cold but I'd rather not get it at all. There were two baptisms in our Branch this week. Adolfo and Daisy.
